This place has ably abetted my fascination with and compulsive search for the perfect DIPA. I regularly find a perfect representation of the niche only to have that assumption corrected by a more perfect rendition, sometimes the very next day. Apparently they sell other great beer styles too and loads of yummy comestibles , but I'm just going on what I've heard. Love 209 and it's peeps. #BrooklynForever

This small, but intriguing place had a welcoming vibe as soon as I entered the store. There were a few interesting things I noticed upon entering. There were taps that dispensed several fresh kombucha flavors. I ordered a strawberry flavored kombucha and it tasted fresher than the national brands I frequently purchase. Many unique craft beers were available both at room temperature on the shelves and in the large cooling unit. Also on the shelves were various snack foods that nicely complimented the beer. There was also a sandwich menu, but I entered the store to only try their kombucha. Overall, the vibe was that of visiting a general store in the country where part of the experience was in partaking in a genial conversation with the guy who works there. Many business owners fail to see the immense value in having a good rapport with their customers. This place gets it. And I hope that the owner values this particular employee.

He ripped me off. A hard cider was 19 when the bottle said 10.00 and i told him the bottle said 10, he gave me a response about it being special. I told him to label it 19 instead of 10. Don't come to this liar. There are better places down the block than this place.

Super unique place! And run by a super cool family! We need more of this in NYC! Also kombucha on tap, can’t go wrong there. Whenever I find a place I really like I try to give it good reviews because word of mouth is powerful! Go there! Especially if you like beer! And tell your friends to go there!
