We have been placing thousands of needy animals into loving, forever homes for over 80 years. It is our Mission to provide for the welfare of animals by: Providing shelter for adoptable pets in our care, Providing quality, affordable veterinary care to the public, Educating the public about the proper care & treatment of animals, Supporting the efforts to combat animal abuse, Cultivating partnerships with rescue & animal control entities, And sharing our vision with the community: to help animals that are homeless find homes, provide animals that are abused, sick, or in need with shelter and medical care, and promote the ideal that the unfailing love and devotion from an animal should be valued by all. We depend upon local donations to support our efforts to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community and receive no regular funding from state or federal agencies, or from the ASPCA (a completely separate entity). Our success is due to the efforts of dedicated SPCA Albrecht Center employees and volunteers, leadership and suppprt from our Board of Directors, as well as the generous donations and continued support of our community.

Took the new baby in for check up and shots. He's doing well. These folks are great and very nice and hard workers. Thank you for everything you do.

My dog was having problems needed to be checked. We sat outside. They come out talk to you, They take animal in check it out. They keep coming out to talk to keep you informed as they take great care of your pet. It was a wonderful safe experience and my dog got excellent care. I feel my pets are safe there. I will go back with my pets.

The staff here are amazing. I had to take my dog Thor here to have a tumor removed a couple days before Christmas. Got him in that morning at 8, picked him up at 330. The surgery went well and the staff were helpful in explaining the after surgery care. He's recovering incredibly well.

The SPCA itself is great. The dog park is wonderful, but the way the SPCA runs it is inefficient. We signed my rescue dog up for the dog park in June and when January came, they told me that they would not prorate my 12 month membership that I was only able to use for 6 months. I appreciate that the proceeds go to the animals in need, but I've donated a lot to the shelter and to get done like this is frustrating. And it sucks for my dog because they're the only dog park in Aiken.
