I was admitted for 4 days following a major surgery at the Main Campus. The nurses were phenomenal. The same with housekeeping and dietary. Unfortunately, 2.5 weeks later complications arose. I went to their satellite hospital in Green. I was given pain medication and sent to Main Campus because the doctor felt I would need certain testing that he was unable to perform there. After waiting in an empty waiting room for 1.5 hours, I left without being seen. I will call my surgeon on Monday and advise of the complication. It’s sad. Main Campus has this brand new beautiful ER, yet it’s still THE WORST in town. If able, avoid the ER at Main Campus. Go to one of their satellites instead.

Love this Hospiral My husband had a single lung transplant and before that he was in Akron General for 4 weeks before heading up to Cleveland Clinic. Akron General met all his needs from medicines to emotional support and they took care of me too. I LOVE THIS HOSPITAL thank you for your hard work

Came in at New AGMC a little after 9:00am this morning. Had vitals done twice and each time sent back to waiting room. Bet they all got their lunches. Being that I got here so early, I haven't eaten all day. Here with nothing but vending machine junk food and when you're on meds and have other issues, that stuff don't cut it!!

i accompanied my loved one to the hospital after being shot and robbed..the R.N. who discharged him was totally oblivious to anything going on around her, it was as if it was literally her first day..she went to discharge him with blood soaked bandages..no home going instructions..(ABSOLUTELY NONE)..she was so unprofessional it was sickening. He had an exit wound that we were unaware of, when I asked her if he even had an exit wound the registered nurse said \ oh I'm not sure\ I was like WOW are you serious?? our E.R. visit was terrible. Whoever that nurse was that discharged us needs lots and lots of diversity training. I pray it wasn't a race issue, but we were treated very poorly.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Akron General. From cleaning crew to physicians. Everyone was fantastic. Nurses are top notch. I loved each and every one who tended to me. Great job!
