Alliance is, bar none, the best fencing Academy in Houston and one of the top clubs in the nation. The club is equally equipped to train fencers to become Olympians and World Champions (several are currently training at Alliance in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games) as well as introducing beginners to the sport of fencing in a safe, fun, and educational manner. Alliance’s kids programs continuously produce nationally ranked fencers, national medalists, and national championships. Fencers from Alliance regularly gain admission to the nations top universities (like Stanford, Princeton, UPenn, Columbia, ect), often with scholarships. If you are an experienced fencer looking to take yourself to the next level, or are looking for a fun activity for your child, I could not recommend this place more. Kids age 5 are welcome

My son has fenced with Alliance for the past 3 years. We started by evaluating a class thinking that we could channel some of his love for Star Wars light-saber play into something more useful and productive. We evaluated classes in 1 other competing facility that had a much nicer gym first but this is where we stayed because of the caliber of the people and quality of the instruction. The instructors all top notch. Each one has competitive a resume and they work hard to win the hearts of the kiddos while providing firm effective instruction. The head coach was the U.S. Olympic fencing team coach for the 2016 games in Rio! My son is now competing consistently and what he has been taught has served him very well against his peers. I've watched him grow considerably through this. We have every reason to hope for the best as he is continuously challenged taught, and encouraged. P.S. We love Bethlehem. She is totally the best!

We have been with Alliance Fencing Academy for approximately five years. The Academy has done an excellent job of keeping my two girls fit (they don't have PE in their school) but I am happiest with the other lessons that the Academy has taught them: excellent sportsmanship skills, the ability to lose gracefully without letting it stop them, strategic thinking and the ability to think while under pressure. The Academy has grown quite a bit in the last few years and they have made great strides in increasing their customer service and being there for poor bewildered fencing parents as their kids get started. Competitive fencing requires a commitment from parents as well as students. All the coaches are top notch and I can really tell that they care about their students. There are other fencing schools out there but I can say that Alliance is the best.
