Fabulous place to stay if you are looking for an experience in a countryside; I couldn't have been more pleased as it took me back to my childhood. (Fireplace, animals to be fed and petted, beautiful walks, quiet sleep, dark starry nights) The host and her staff are very friendly and helpful, not to mention that they love to host children.

What a wonderful experience this was! We only had time to stay one night. They encourage you to stay at least two and I can understand why. We took our twin 8 year old boys and everyone loved the experience. There's lot of animals to enjoy; goats, sheep, horses, chickens, roosters, ducks, a turkey, cats, and a donkey. Scottie, Teagan and Justin were excellent hosts. They clearly know what they are doing and they made us feel so welcome. Teagan greeted us with a fresh baked loaf of bread. We got to participate in the chores and spend as much time with the animals as we wanted. We had free roam of the property to enjoy the animals, beautiful scenery, stream, hikes and cottage. We will definitely go back. Thank you to Leaping Lamb Farm for a great experience!

I have not visited the farm in person, but Scottie Jones, the owner, started Farmstay US and has been a tremendous help to other farms and ranches that offer Farm stays. Scotty has been instrumental in getting many of the different farms and ranches in different publications and on TV. She has done a good job of having tours for schools, corporations, and individuals. She is helping the general public understand farming and appreciate it.

This place is fantastic! You get to do morning and evening chores (feed animals, scoop poop, let the sheep in/out, pick fresh eggs), but you also have free reign of most of the farm. You can wade in the creek, play in the sprinklers, hike, and relax on the porch. Scottie is a marvelous and gracious host with a knack for making your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. She and the entire farm crew are great with kids and a total pleasure to spend time with. It’s no wonder this place is on so many best of lists!

Leaping Lamb Farm was the perfect weekend getaway for my small family. We stayed in the cottage - plenty big for my husband and I and our two boys, two years and 6 months. Our two year old ran wild with the sheep, brushed Paco the donkey, fed the chickens, played in the stream for hours, hiked to fairy houses, picked apples, figs, kiwis, blueberries and mulberries, and so much more. Denny showed us the ropes and was always available to answer questions we had about the farm. We can't wait to go back next year with a group of friends to enjoy the big house.

We loved our stay. Our children have many fond memories of the farm. Scottie and Danny are wonderful and we know all our favorite animals by name! Every morning our children are eager for their chores. We can't wait to come back!
