I rented a square buff sander from United recently and it worked perfectly. I was refinishing oak floors and this option is better than dying of old age hand sanding it. The one day rental was 75, which is not the cheapest in town but I was not disappointed with the results. The condition of their equipment was exemplary as compared to a recent home depot orbital sander rental which cost me a day of work because the equipment wasnt maintained correctly. Considering renting equipment is their primary business it is clear they take pride in their equipment and I'd have no qualms about coming back in the future.
