Delicious. Absolutely delicious. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Restaurant was clean with enforced social distancing and all staff properly wore masks. I asked for a few menu recommendations from our bar tender (we ate at the bar top) and he came through! We live in Sanford and happened upon this place while we were running errands in Apex but this is 100% a place we will frequent. Without a doubt it's worth the drive. Photos of Gaelic Steak Medallions (med rare), Pecan Crusted Pork Chops, and the most beautiful pour of Guinness this side of Ireland.

First time dining at Doherty's and my family and I loved our food. Cider-glazed salmon, salmon dill salad, and the boneless buffalo wings were all outstanding!

We went there twice so far - first time for lunch and had the beef stew and I was not happy - there were three small pieces of meat and two potatoes and the rest was a thick broth with the consistency of gravy; second time we went for dinner and had the Irish potato pancake with brisket and was delicious!! Do ask for extra horseradish sauce to dip the potato croquettes in! My son had corn beef and it was also delicious. My husband had cordon bleu and he said was a touch overdone (it was a bit dry), but it was still, pretty good.

A fine lunch I had here. Corned Beef and Cabbage with a nice Arnold Palmer. Love the Brown Mustard. I plan to return for lunch again.

You might be inclined to pass this off a mediocre pub or sports bar. But, I’m always impressed by the quality of food served here. I’ve liked almost everything I’ve tried. The meatloaf, fish and chips, beef brisket sandwich, green beans, and boxties are all delicious, and so are their sauces. Their cheesecakes are from Custom Confections which is one of the best cheesecake places around. The service is usually very good too. I definitely recommend checking out Doherty’s!
