The teachers each operate on there own terms for their welding course. There is no accountability for there actions. With that said some are way better then others so the bad ones you are just stuck with trying your best to past there portion. Beside the fact that you have to deal with unbearable accents and the fact that covid makes things a mess the school is ok I guess. For 20,000 this is not it at ALL.

Great school for welding. Only school I can find that helps you get OSHA 30, DOT/ DOB(if you're good enough) and AWS Qualifying. If you can get all of that at another NYC school for under 20k let me know.

I was enrolled in the plumbing and pipefitting program and the 1st segment with Mr. Henderson was a breeze, he was a great teacher and a great man and always so encouraging. He really pushes you to the best of your abilities. However, I got to segment 2 and Mr. Whitfield is one of the worst teachers I’ve ever met. Great guy, but can’t teach for his life. He would never have the right materials needed, he would go and get them and not come back for 2 hours straight. Then would yell at me for not having the assignment done. He’s more worried about his social life than teaching, he gives barely any explanation and made my school experience so dreadful I quit.

I went to Apex to take an electrical course. This was a move that I decided to make to change my life and find a career that I loved and enjoyed . A career that I could also provide for my family in the future and have a solid skill set that I could never go hungry with. So far it has been a great experience. They teach you the theory side of the work and they teach you how to do it which is shop. You get the how and you get the why, which even most people in the industry do not understand , they just understand that somebody showed them this is how to do it. My experience has been a beautiful one and has definitely put me on a path to change my life for the better and help me attain valuable knowledge not only to a career but with insight to life experience as well.

I am profoundly tired, but deeply satisfied with the rigor of Apex Technical School's curriculum. After spending 90 hours a week building software next to some of the most ambitious and dedicated people I've ever met, I feel very well equipped to break into the industry.
