We are relatively new to the area and were thrilled to find Addissae when we were really craving Ethiopian food a few weeks ago. We called in to ask if it'd be possible to make vegan plates for us, and they agreed with absolutely no problem. The store smelled AMAZING when we picked up our order, and the staff was SO incredibly kind and grateful for our business! We could hardly stand the 25 minute car ride home to eat it because the delicious smells quickly filled up the car.. the 'lunch' plates were very nicely portioned (and priced!), I wish i'd have thought to take a picture of it before diving straight in! I definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for some amazing Ethiopian comfort food! Thank you so much, Addissae! Can't wait to order again!

Pretty good food! My picture contrast is super high for some reason, but the food was good. I think the injera was a little sour for my taste. Service was good as well, our server was very helpful in explaining what everything was.

After almost a decade of not having Ethiopian food, decided to drop in here earlier tonight. Ended up grabbing some Miser W'at and my friend got the Beef Tibbs. Both were incredible! Knowing this gem is in town, I'll definitely be going back regularly. The staff is also extremely friendly and the prices are much better than most around town for enough food to actually get full from.

I didn’t get to eat there sadly because they were only doing take away. But let me tell you. The smells are free and they are unreal. Hopefully next time I’m in town I’ll be able to dine in.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine, and it did not disappoint! The tequila drink with a turmeric rim was spicy with a touch of sweetness, which capped off the meal alongside a slice of Tiramsu perfectly. The flavors of the spices in the cuisine are definitely worth going out of your way to try. The bread was fluffy, and you eat with your hands, which gives the entire experience a very earthy feel. The vibe here was great as well, which I noticed as my group and I enjoyed pleasant and relaxing conversation. I would suggest parking in the lot across the street from here. It's like 2/hour. It's a great area to walk around and shop right in the heart of downtown Asheville as well. Street parking is sparse.
