I use Assure as an investor through SPVs that are run on their platform. We’ve been promised K-1 tax documents for the last tax year for over 2 months now. The consistent message is, soon, soon, soon. Their head of SPV even committed to having them the first week of June. It’s now the end of the second week, and still nothing. Their customer service/account managers don’t seem to care either. I would highly recommend not to use their services.

I was very excited to work with Assure and invested a lot of resources (including flying to meet them) and legal fees to pursue the path specifically recommended by them. When it came time to execute the agreement, the agreement was extremely one-sided and they showed little willingness to negotiate around commonly accepted practices. In particular, there was a clause that allowed Assure to terminate at any time (even though they take an upfront fee). When I asked for this clause to be amended to something more even-handed, they were unwilling to move forward and thus left us in a very difficult position. It feels as though there is something strange going on with their willingness to take a (very low) upfront fee, but not being willing to guarantee their service for the life of the term. Additionally, I later found out that the law firm to whom they referred me created a structure that was incorrect and we had to throw it out. Further, an affiliated entity used them and had to terminate because they simply didn't do what they promised. UPDATE: After years of struggling, I have found a great provider for this problem.
