I have done busines with Athens Plumbing now since 2005. a few weeks ago, Athens Plumbing installed a new water hearter to the cost of 1700. Immediately after install we experienced severe fluctuations in hot/cold temps throughout the house. We tried various temperature settings and nothing fixed the problem. I finally called them today and they sent two gentleman out to determine what was wrong. When I made the appointment, I was told immediately what the issue was, the valve in my master shower was in need of replacement. This is NOT an issue with the prior water heater. I expressed disdain of being charged a fee to check on their WARRANTIED work and did not agree with paying the fee, After arriving and inspection, the plumbers told me that I needed to install new valves in the master shower costing 1400! I was then told I needed to pay a service fee of 150 plus tax. This business has changed. Do not use them. They are dishonest and do not stand by their work and warranty.
