I have worked closely as an intern with this treatment center for the past few months, and WOW! These people are doing such a great service to provide the BEST treatment plan (that truly WORKS) for those seeking long-term recovery & sober lifestyle. Their program is intended for individuals as well as the family/support system of the individual in treatment. The staff are kind, genuine, committed, and real; they truly want to help every client in the best way possible. They engage with each individual as a \person\ before their \disease.\ The commencement center certainly feels like a family and provides a sense of welcoming that makes even clients who have relapsed, return the next day. It is heart warming to see a treatment team work so diligently in order to see a new light in the lives of others in need. I've witnessed many graduates whose lives are changed (some even travel from out of state), but the graduates also understand that recovery takes beyond 6 weeks of treatment; it takes understanding the disease, steps to prevent relapse, patience, and perseverance. I would recommend this treatment center for ANYONE seeking a hopeful future and new purpose for their life. The levels of care and success at AACC do not compare to any other treatment centers in the U.S.

The Commencement Center is a great place to start your recovery. The staff is outstanding. They give you the tools for you to manage your recovery. I have a drug and alcohol problem and the staff helped me with both. I finished the out-patient program and the aftercare program. I have been sober for over two years now. I would recommend the Athens Commencement Center to anyone who wants to get their life back.
