I will never use Piedmont Healthcare again. I have been SEVERELY overcharged and no one will help me. I was referred for mammography services by my doctor. I was given a 960 charge for a one sided ultrasound that was easily only 5-10 min long. I was not given any warning about cost and Piedmont refuses to negotiate the bill at all. I was also charged additional fees from the radiologist to read this which amounted to another almost 200. My doctor’s office told me not to worry that ultrasounds are not expensive. I went into this expecting a fee I agreed to and came away with a much higher number. Be very wary and make sure to have ALL estimates in writing. This company got me in the door with an estimate I agreed to and then hit me with another 1100 in charges for a total of over 1500! It’s hours on the phone. No responsibility for giving the patient an inaccurate prediction of cost and no willingness to negotiate an exorbitant fee for a simple procedure after an incorrect estimate. If I had been leveled with at the beginning I would have gone to a facility that offers these same services for a fair price. I will never use a Piedmont faculty again willingly. This is one big reason why many people have lost trust in the medical establishment. At this healthcare “business” they don’t care about you and your health care at all.

I would not recommend this place for a mammogram. The Doris shaheen breast health center should be ashamed of themselves. I am a high risk patient and have been waiting for 2 weeks to get my mammogram results. I have called my doctor and they said my results are showing as pending. I tried calling the office and cannot get anyone to answer the phone. This place is supposed to be saving lives not killing them. I have been so incredibly anxious and upset the past few weeks while waiting on my results. Do not go here!! I would give negative stars if I could.

Easiest, fastest, least painful mammogram I've ever had. I arrived at 12:45pm for a 1:00pm appointment. The receptionist was friendly. I filled out 2 short forms and was called for registration within 5 minutes. Registration was easy and the registrar was pleasant. I then went back to the front waiting and was called back within 5 minutes. The changing and locker area was clean and comfortable. Again, I waited less than 5 minutes after changing clothes to be called for my mammogram. The mammogram technician was kind and gentle and the machine was only 2 weeks old. It didn't hurt at all!! A far different experience from my past mammograms which were uncomfortable at best. I highly recommend this Breast center - compassionate, competent, efficient staff and experience! Thank you!

Beware! Dr. Purna Sharma is incredibly rude. Upon walking in the room she stated “Wow, your case is a disaster.” I spoke with the office manager to address my concern and it was like talking to a robot. No empathy whatsoever. I will never return to this facility.
