We had a very large and very complex job to get done and Ponderosa did it. We are surrounded on canyons on three sides, we had very large trees to get cut down, we had a hill to navigate (to haul out the debris) and had an extremely call Redwood that required trimming.

After poor experiences (and price) with other tree companies, I called in some highly rated companies for estimates on 5 dead trees & 1 large dead limb over my roof. Chris Heim, the registered Arborist that came out to estimate was thorough and professional. He also didn't recommend removal of a 6th tree that was growing intertwined with another since both trees were clear established and doing fine. The guys showed up on time and completed the job (even though they were short handed) in less than 1/2 day. They left the area clean of all debris (except the cherry wood that I asked to keep - and they cut it into firewood size segments). I expected to pay on the spot as I have in the past, I was told would receive a bill in the mail. Wow (I thought) that has not been my previous experience. I was so impressed that I watched the mailbox everyday and when the bill arrived, I paid online immediately. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic.
Davey Trees did a wonderful job with our trees. First, there was the actual tree trimming which was wonderful. Our trees have canopy but there's more room for them to grow, and no more squirrels getting on the roof. Second, there was the initial contact, which was by phone and then follow up with email and text messages. I prefer email and texting to calling and so I loved that we ended up coordinating via email. Brilliant. (Sometimes its easier for me to send an email than talk on the phone). Third, we had a rather crazy schedule and Davey Trees accommodated our changing needs with grace. All in all highly recommend Davey Trees.
The Davey staff is always very professional and the yard looks great! Huge improvement over prior service we were using.
