If you are looking for a high quality, compassionate and professional training facility I would highly suggest Shaun Myers of SKM Dressage. Shaun is a highly experienced trainer who is able to support a team of riders with a wide range of goals. Whether you are just starting out and looking to "improve your seat" or a ambitious amateur ready to hit the FEI ring, she has a program for you. I started with Shaun many years ago as a ex-hunter rider and a lot of bad habits. Shaun helped me find my confidence and supported me through my show nerves. I took on the challenge of raising a young horse. As a nervous rider this was quite an endeavor. Shaun was patient and taught me to do things on my own rather then passing off a trained horse to me. She focused on the fundamentals and helped me create a solid foundation on my young mare rather. Though its fun to learn the "tricks" I appreciate working through the training scale with exercises that are appropriate for me and my horses level. Shaun has brought on such a fun group of clients. We all know how to work hard and play hard. The team is so supportive at shows and we all have a great time. If you are looking for a fun team environment I highly suggest SKM Dressage. My horse has always been in the best of care and I couldn't imaging being part of anything else.
