First time visiting with Austin Aerospace and meeting with Dr. Chen for a 1st class medical. This is a team dedicated to aviation and the health and welfare of pilots. I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of Dr. Chen and he completely put me at ease during the duration of the medical. I have some issues that are bumps in the road towards my medical, but Dr. Chen was able to advise me on next steps and provided all the necessary information I need to work with the FAA. This is exactly the kind of doctor you want if you are thinking of becoming a professional pilot...someone who will honestly and compassionately advise you on your future. This is a team with vast amounts of experience working with all levels of aviation professionals, and I can't imagine going to another Aviation Medical Examiner after having found Dr. Chen and Dr. Davenport.

I've been utilizing the services of Austin Aerospace LLC/TexasAME/Dr. Andy \Doc\ Davenport for the past 5 years to complete the FAA Medical Exam effort. I receive my Medical Certificate via the AASI process (AME Assisted Special Issuance process) which is not as simple as your typical medical certification process. However, Doc Davenport has made it as simple and straight-forward as possible. And we have been able to overcome obstacles and succeed without delay each year. Both his familiarity with the systems of the FAA, and his ability to \train\ me on how to properly prepare, have been extremely facilitating and successful. On top of all that, he is a really likeable, concerned, friendly and interesting person. I highly recommend him to any pilot, no matter how simple or how challenging your situation may be!
2nd time visit with Dr. Davenport for a First Class Medical. Online scheduling was really easy. Visit was extremely relaxed. Dr. Davenport is there for you and to help you. He is not against you. Answered all questions while keeping you relaxed. I would recommend Dr. Davenport to everyone. I will definitely be going back again!
