My 12 year old daughter needed surgery to repair a torn ligament on her thumb and we were referred to Dr. Amis. He was awesome from the first appointment...totally making my daughter (and me) feel comfortable and cared for. Even expressing concern in a way that was obvious to me, but not alarming to my daughter. Surgery was great, and her recovery is doing better than expected. Couldn't recommend him highly enough

My mother (75) fell and shattered her wrist at the end of February 2020. The office was able to get her in to be seen ASAP and held a surgery spot for her. Dr Amis was very caring, listened and answered all concerns patiently. As she recovered it was discovered she also had her rotator cuff ripped. After weighing the options, she had total shoulder replacement surgery. Even the resident doctor in the hospital complimented Jessica (Dr Amis’s nurse) because of the quick response time. That was two surgeries in 7 months during a pandemic. They offer Telemed for follow up appointments and always felt safe when needing to go into the office. The staff was always so responsive to any questions or needs. We are so grateful to Dr Amis (and his team) for two very successful surgeries.

Dr Amis possesses a wealth of knowledge and has a great bedside manner as others have stated. He does listen to you and asks the questions that help you understand your issue and course of action. I was referred by another excellent surgeon and had quite high expectations. They were met and exceeded.

I had the very best experience with Dr. Amis and his staff that I could possibly have hoped for. I had a major finger injury (shot a high powered construction staple into my pinky bone) on a Saturday and was able to see them on Monday and have my surgery on Tuesday. Everyone that we spoke to at the office was efficient, thorough, helpful and kind. Dr. Amis was confident, patient and comforting and answered all of my many questions. I'm a classical pianist and so had anxiety about the whole process, but they have addressed my concerns the whole way through my treatment. He set me up with a terrific hand OT and I'm on track to have 100% recovery. I'm so grateful to this practice and highly, highly recommend them.

Good doc & nice guy. Took the time to answer all my questions and recommended a reasonable rehab and restorative treatment plan. Very congenial. Would recommend without reservation.
