I have a 1978 Bravo I took to another shop to clean the carburetor. Big mistake! They did all sorts of damage and still didn't fix it. Took my poor Bravo to these guys and they knew everything about it. If you have one of the older model mopeds, these guys know everything. Good communication and very detailed. They repaired it in a reasonable amount of time. Its hard to find real mechanics with experience on these old scooters but these guys are professionals. Be advised, you will be on a waiting list as they are the best in Texas and everybody uses them. Parts and labor were reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

Have been taking my vintage mopeds to Austin Mopeds pretty near from the onset. I travel quite a bit and take these mopeds with me. They break down and I have been there and done that, searching nationwide, for a consistently, competent vintage moped repair shop and Austin Mopeds fit the bill. I contact the boys to help me on the road, parts arrive, advice always spot on. When I cannot do the repairs myself I wait till I'm back in Austin so L can add me to the list and I know they will search high and low for a part or come to a clever resolution to complete a repair or sell it for parts. ...and the boys got character, that's important too. After having another scooter place essentially ignoring me because the owner did not want to work on my moped I opted on these guys. What a great decision that was! These guy went through my bike throughly and found issues that I wasn’t even aware of. That had it running like it was brand new and did it in a very timely manner. Great place all around. Will be going there exclusively from now on!

So you got a moped? Well you probably already know about the best moped shop in Austin. These guys will help keep you on the road and have a good time doing it. Great place for parts, service and the sacred knowledge of the moped.

I saw some of the bad reviews and had to chime in. Do vintage mopeds break down? Sure. Vintage anything-with-a-motor will break down if you don't run it regularly and maintain it properly. I've been guilty of neglecting my mopeds, and I'd never hesitate to bring them in to Austin Mopeds if they needed more work than I could do myself. The fact that mopeds are relatively inexpensive compared to other vehicles doesn't make them toys, and it doesn't make them any easier to work on or find parts for. Austin Mopeds is run by a good group of guys and I'd recommend them to anyone. They've even serviced my 1976 Honda motorcycle, and it's still running strong.

Ryan who works there robbed me of and is genuinely an awful being. anyone who employs someone like this doesn't have backbone and certainly not worth giving these cokehead moped dealers your business.
