Everything about the clinic was fantastic. Check in was easy and the staff were exceptionally pleasant and polite. My time in the room with the ophthalmology tech was also great. She listened, took a detailed history, and was really courteous. Dr. Durairaj, his Fellow-in-training Dr. Reed, and his peer, Dr. Epstein all came in at some point to discuss my case, show me my imaging, performed an exam, explained my upcoming surgical procedure, and explained the recovery process. All with such detail that I had no questions at the end. It's very rare that you attend a surgical subspecialty visit and have this sort of experience. On the day of surgery, Dr. Epstein visited prior to surgery to check in, make sure I understood what was going on, reassured me, and verified and marked the appropriate surgical site. Immediately after surgery and while I was in the post anesthesia care unit, she came in to ask how I was doing and asked if she could call my wife (which she did immediately). This was a great experience, driven by great leaders, at a great clinic.

This practice cares more about convenience for their staff than they care about the health of their patients. I was asked to reschedule my appointment because the physician’s other appointments for the afternoon had been canceled, and it was inconvenient for the physician to travel to the south location for one appointment. When I offered to travel to the main office, I was told the physician was not available to see me. How is a physician not available? If she was ill, or if she had an emergency, I understand. But to cancel, because she didn’t want to drive to an inconvenient location, is insulting. Needless to say, this made me reconsider using this practice. If my health is of no more importance to this practice I’ll find a practice that genuinely cares for the patients they treat.

So happy and pleased! Dr Durairaj's repair by far exceeded anything hoped for! A real life changer! The whole staff, nurses and anesthesiologist were awesome! Everything about my experience at TOC was top shelf. The staff is professional and attentive, they truly take care of each and every patient. Dr. D was meticulous in from the original appointment to the final. The staff is encouraging, and professional. I highly recommend TOC and I have shared my recommendation with the Retinal specialist that suggeested TOC as well.

I went in to have eye lashes removed from left eye. I was not at all satisfied with what has happened since. Dr. Vikram Durairaj did the left eye and had another Dr. working on right eye. Instead of removing eye lashes they cut and sewed on both. Since, my left eye waters all day and evening I have to hold it up to even watch T.V. and I am in pain each time I blink I pray to forgive but am having a hard time since each blink gives pain. The left eye also droops all the time. With such bad luck I am frightened to go to another person as I have had so much trouble with this. They seem to stress cosmetic surgery at TOC instead of Ophthalmology.
