My son has been going to US TKD for about 3 months and he loves it. I particularly like it because the Master reinforces goals, ie. having to earn the white belt, earning black stripes with parental approval. He gives parents a say in their advancement of belts based on behavior and demonstrating the values it says it instills

Best thing I ever did for my son was to put him in United States Taekwondo. He took a liking to martial arts and to see him put so much interest and passion in the techniques he's learning puts the biggest smile on my heart. I'm so proud of him and this could have never been accomplished without the dedication from his teacher Master Lockett. I really appreciate you Master Lockett for everything you do in order to prepare the kids for not only protecting themselves but also teaching them the significant of respecting others and also teaching them to set goals for themselves and reaching them. I recommend United States Taekwondo to anyone and everyone thats ready to make a positive change for them or their kiddos!

My daughter has been training with Master Pak for nearly 7 years now. He is one of the best teachers I have seen. He is very good with small children and helps them build confidence in themselves. He keeps them disciplined while still allowing them to have fun. He treats all of his students (young and old) like family. He inspires students to be their best without pushing them past their limits. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in learning a martial art to attend UMAEC.

I moved to Austin last year with over 30 years of experience in Taekwondo, and I even previously ran my own school. I decided when I moved here I wanted to become a student again and learn something new. I visited many schools (of all different arts) in the Austin metro area, and I was having a tough time finding someone with a rank and skill set that could truly make me feel like a student again. I was so excited to find Grand Master Pak's school and his Hapkido program. It's not often you can find a school with a true Grand Master that still teaches weekly classes and this was an opportunity I could not pass up! G.M. Pak makes learning Hapkido very safe and with a focus on practical applications. Everyone taking the class is super friendly and ready to help so don't be afraid to start with no prior experience. If you are looking for Taekwondo in these reviews, Grand Master Pak still gets on the mats and teaches it as well! He is an amazing technician and competitor with a life time worth of knowledge and a passion ready to pass along no mater your age or rank. The environment is very family friendly and safe. Whether you want to become a world class competitor, learn practical self defense, or just challenge yourself in a different way this school should be your home!

My name David Montalvo. I have owned and operated Champions Taekwondo Center LLC for 16 years. I met Grand Master Jang Hee Pak when i was 9 yrs old when my original taekwondo school closed down. He made my transition into his school easy and enjoyable. As i continued my training i received by 1st degree black belt by him under the North American Taekwondo Federation which was under ITF. Grand Master Pak was always very encouraging and challenging with his instruction. The one thing that i admired and learned the most was that he kept learning and continued his training. He was always lead by example. While i was a student of his, he learned to be a jeweler, massage therapist and now a student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Master Pak has recently joined the WT Poomsae circuit which has been absolutely amazing to watch since all he taught in his school was ITF poomsae. What many in the US do not know is that Grand Master Pak is the instructor to some of the best fighters in the US and probably the best fighter the world has ever seen. Under his tutelage there was myself (David Montalvo), Jason Torres, Jean Lopez, Mark Lopez, Diana Lopez and Steven Lopez. I hope that he continues his journey in competing in poomsae, because it has inspired me to once again get back in the ring and fight again.
