I was very pleased with the quality of the produce. With the exception of one, the volunteers were helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, one of the volunteers was extremely unpleasant with the customers today. One of the customers inquired about volunteering and this woman was very nasty towards her. She was rude and disrespectful towards me, my daughter, and other customers as well. I don't know the volunteer's name. She was the only African American female there this morning. She was dressed in a blue GB shirt and wore large frame glasses. Her disposition made my experience difficult and unpleasant. I really appreciate what GB is doing for the community; however, I suggest that you screen your volunteers more carefully and accept those individuals who are competent enough to work proficiently with the public. I tried to be fair with my rating and review. I would have given GB 5 stars had it not been for the very unprofessional behavior of this volunteer. I hope to have a better experience during my next visit.
Great food at great prices! Also learned from the about plantain lasagna when I got a ton of plantains in my bag and it was amazing! An absolute must go. Helping others, saving the environment and saving money. Win win win!

Fun and active place to volunteer! Jump right in, it is first come, first serve. As for purchasing food, you can get a huge bag of assorted produce for 7! Yes, 7. The food is surplus or unsellable produce that will not go to waste now, thanjs to you!
