This is the place to go if you're looking to experience new things. It's great for people of all ages. There are different size buckets you can purchase depending on how many people are in your party and how long you want to be there. It took us (party of 3) about two hoursto go through a 5 gallon bucket. Walk-ins are welcome, but it does get busy so reservations are recommend. I definitely would go back!

Great little place to tuck away if it's rainy on the mountain. Located just across from the parking entrance to sugar mountain. Easy to get to. Fun activity. Our whole group was able to purchase the smallest bucket, but if you want to stretch your time out, or have more younger kids in your group you may want to grab the middle size. Staff was nice and the mining tent was heated, which was nice since you will get your hands wet.

This place is really neat - you can rent ski/snowboard equipment there too. You pay for a bucket(s) of dirt (size of your choosing - we got 2 gallons and it delivered plenty of gems) - go out to the sluice shed with your little bags and shovels (they provide), grab a sifter to two. They deliver your bucket and you start washing dirt to reveal your treasures! Great for all ages.

Stopped in after calling to ask if they made jewelry with the stone I find. After driving the girl at counter was rude wouldn’t ever look at us when she spoke to us. Told us they didn’t make jewelry. She then yelled for girl in back and the girl corrected her , and said we cut stones. Then she threw a box of cut stones on counter. I am sorry but we just told them no thank you and left. Never go there. They need to learn manners.
