Amazing home cooked food with owners that genuinely care about their customers. The owner is a hard working man that really cares about the love and care put into the restaurant and will go at lengths to make sure any order/customer, regardless of if it's pickup, delivery or dine in is satisfied. Cannot recommend this place enough. I recommend the lunch special! The dry hot pot beef is super good and filling, and goes nicely with their 3 for 2 lunch special! only reason I don't order from here more often is because I moved. But each time I'm back in flatiron for puppy classes I always make sure to come here. Just goes to show how good this place is!!! I also never write reviews

My mom and sister were looking for a place to get some dim sum during Thanksgiving week and came upon Baodega! The owner/chef is so friendly and sweet and he even made us Vegetarian soup dumplings because my mom doesn’t eat meat, which we have never seen at any dim sum places! Food was delicious, well priced and felt authentic and I literally can’t wait to come back! (Side note: their chili sauce is sooo good)

Hidden gem tucked away in Midtown. Food 5/5 I’m going to be honest, the food is sort of catered more to the western palate but it still holds its asian flavor. I love their take on the Xia Long Boa. Traditionally steamed, these ones were pan fried. The shuimai however was a bit of a let down Ambiance 5/5 Beautiful rustic setting indoor and great garden patio out at the back. Well distanced. Service 5/5 Friendly and helpful owner. He is also the host and the waiter. Wore a mask and practiced all the covid protocols

I’ve been eating at Baodega regularly since they opened. The food is amazing, the service is great, and I love the atmosphere. It seems to be a family-run operation, which adds to the welcoming vibe of the place. They also have a nice-sized backyard with outdoor seating. The dumplings in particular are my favorite. They make them fresh on the spot from scratch when you order them. I highly recommend.

The pan fried soup dumplings delicious and their wanton soup was one of the best I’ve had! Sooo flavorful. Very nice family owned restaurant. We will definitely come back.
