Please note this is a very expensive school and nothing more. No matter what the promoter may tell you, this experience will not lead your child (or you) to stardom. Most people only realize this at the end of the training, when they ask you for another 6000 to attend "Showcase" in LA. This event pays agents to attend and review "new talent." If you want to go, you should just sign up directly for showcase instead of Barbizon. I found the experience to be of little value, and nothing like what was promised/advertised. Save your money. Enroll in community theater and find a licensed talent agent if you really want to get into the limelight.

No one ever has to pay to join an agency. This is not even an agency. They will convince you to join and keep asking for money for stupid reasons. This is not even an agency it’s a supposed modeling school that teaches how to ear with “forks”. There so many modeling agencies in Portland who will teach you the real modeling work with actually real models from how to walk to his get booked at a casting. I was with them at the age of 15 with my brother and it was our biggest mistake. Like I wish I could take my money back. Now am 19 and am signed with Muse Models. I wish I didn’t waste my time at Barbizon with the mentors who supposed that they know everything about modeling using their name on that ANTM contestant who actually never won ANTM to fool people and draw them in. They know how to make money. My friend also joined Barbizon last year and I had warned her, but she thought it was my experience and hers was going to be different. She paid 5000 and still hasn’t done a single professional shoot nor knows how to walk in heels. They gave me this eye shadow pallete back when I was 15 now am 19 and it’s 2018 and my friend literally got the same one. All I can say is they know how to make freaking business and impress people. Take your kids or yourself to a real modeling agency to sign them or you. An agency will school you. Hope this will be helpful for anyone who’s about to go there and get fooled to sign with them. I stopped going so did my brother and they had already taken my money so they didn’t even bother to check why we stopped coming.

You know it's a red flag when they ask for 2k up front. But, if you are uneducated like I was, and pay the money, it can teach you a lot. If you are completely new to the entertainment industry, places like this can teach you a lot about the modeling/acting world. Though Barbizon won't get you jobs or rocources, it's a great start to someone who is completely new to this world.

I had a extremely bad experience this is not a modeling agency it's a school. I would recommend muse modeling. They rip you off and lie a lot.
