I had an emergency with my bike not coasting going down Independence Pass (which really sucked because I had to ride my breaks and pedal down 21 miles). The first bike shop I stopped at turned me away, and told me to try Basalt Bike and Ski Aspen. So I went there and they helped me immediately! They completely serviced my free hub (which needed a complete clean), on the spot. I didn’t even have to wait. Wow! What service!!!!! Amazing and SO grateful!

My girlfriend and I took our bikes here for tunes. They were friendly and fast and the tune was 220 each. Our next ride, both our chains started dropping when we tried to shift into high gears. Neither of our bikes had done this before. We called them again and they immediately took our bikes in. The staff is friendly, responsive, fast and made up of awesome people. They “fixed” the bikes again, for free, but our bikes still cannot shift into the top two gears. It’s frustrating to pay over 200 and have your bike come back in worse shape. There are better MTB shops in the valley for sure.

I can not more strongly suggest shopping elsewhere... There are other great shops in the valley that deserve the business. I have been using this shop for years for small tweaks and fixes over the years. Last week, After having the mechanics be disrespectful and condescending to me I expressed my displeasure in there rudeness by saying that was unnecessary and F*ing rude....and tried to leave. A lunatic working the front register followed me out store and threaten me to "come to blows" and then threatened to call the police for what i'm not sure.

The crew at BB&S Aspen were nothing less then stellar. Easily one of the easiest and best rental experiences I’ve ever had. Service was quick and detailed, equipment was nice and the staff were all quick to offer tips and route ideas. Will definitely rent from them again next time I’m back!

Taylor and Vega were really helpful and knowledgeable as I rented a road bike to tackle a few climbs in and around Aspen. They set me up with a killer Pinarello F10 - the bike was flawless. I didn't know the area at all so it was really great that they took the time to share some of their personal experiences and point me in the right direction. A great week in Aspen thanks to Basalt Bike and Ski!

I walked in looking for parts for an older, beat up Trek and received the BEST and FRIENDLIEST service! No "bike snobs" just people who are knowledgeable and friendly. I used their tools to install my parts, they put on the pedals for me at no charge, and also showed me some newer bikes that I am interested in. The parts I bought were low budget but high quality as I explained that I tour for a living, my bike was beat up when I got it, and I was looking to save money on it. I'm am VERY pleased with my experience today, thank you!
