Want to know some history? This little place is packed with it. The curator is very knowledgeable. Don't miss the wonderful painting and ask about the curator's secret. A MUST SEE. Make sure to leave a few bucks there to keep this free place open.

Great little museum about the Battle of Carthage and surrounding civil war events. The guide there gave a great presentation and then went out of his way to give us information on several other local attractions that would entertain my kids.
Great place and staff.. very informative
Always a pleasant place. This museum is viewed by many people from all states.
This is a very unique battle very early in the war (before Bull Run). A beautiful mural of the action by famous artist Andy Thomas greets the visitors as they enter the museum. A huge, fantastic diorama featuring hundreds of detailed miniatures is also a big attraction along with countless Civil War relics. Located just one block from the historic town square in Carthage.
Our family loves history. It was nice to see the history of this town in the civil war.

The docent was very knowledgeable. There was a lot of Information here. I really enjoyed it.
