We had a fun canoe ride! We rented 2 canoes and had fun remembering how to operated a canoe . It is a narrow and winding river with a slow current and surrounded by nature. We liked it... It did take is closer to 4 hours to do the 2 hour trip because we took our time and dipped out of the canoe to cool off.

This was a great way to spend 2 hours on a quiet, beautiful natural river! The equipment was great, the staff were very hard working, its a fun spot. The river was fun, not too fast or difficult, but with some narrow turns. We hardly saw any homes or buildings along the route so you feel like you are getting away from it all despite the short drive. Good for the family!

Owner was very nice and pleasant. The river is full of nature and obstacles. You get dropped off at the spot and then you are on your own. All up to you to find your way at back but it's easy. Careful going under the bridges if you are not an experienced paddler. You have a choice of a 1 hour or 2 hour experience but they tell you to take your time and enjoy. There is no time limit, you just basically pick if you want a longer river ride or not. We enjoyed it.

We had four experienced paddlers and the “four hour” trip took five and a half hours because the river was blocked from beaver dams. We love canoeing but will not be back to this river. It was a constant zigzag with virtually no straightaways. Steering back and forth from the left side to the right side of the river edge the entire trip. No time to sit back and let the water carry you. Would recommend only the hour long trip for anyone that is inexperienced. The first four hours were spent navigating beaver dams that consume the river. The owners are super friendly and were up front that there would be a lot of portaging. Unfortunately, because there are high sides to the river the entire route you have no other options than portaging thru and over the murky beaver damns. Unable to portage around from shore. Thick murky water that was waste deep at the lowest point, and had leeches. :( They were very gracious about us taking our dog and even gave us extra seat cushions for her to lay on in the canoe. Plan on a much longer trip than what they suggest time wise (2 hr closer to 4, 4 hour closer to 6, etc) they have no time restrictions for getting back, but even experienced paddlers will need extra time. There is only one sandbar where you can stop and it is near the end of the trip so plan on “working” the entire time.
