as a mother of a celiac, it's a HUGE relief to eat somewhere that understands! the food is real food (not processed yuk) that has great flavors! they are very patient & answered all my questions. this place has definitely been added to our list of revisiting places!

Loved this place! The croquettes (probably spelled that wrong) and fried chicken were amazing! And the staff members were super nice, and worked hard to produce amazing orders even though they were very busy.
If you are looking for AMAZING and AUTHENTIC Brazilian food, look no further! Cris focuses on bringing the food of her people to Portland and she is always experimenting to bring something new to your table. The Croquettes come in many flavors and are a great finger food sure to satisfy your cravings. Our favorites are the coxihnas (chicken) and bacalhau (cod fish). Be sure to also taste the queijo (cheese), Carne (beef), and presunto e queijo (ham and cheese)!! Another favorite of ours are the churros!! They smelled so good, my first thought was, I wish they came with some dulce de leche... I took a bite and could not have been happier when I tasted that they were filled with dulce de leche . FILLED. Cris said we just had to try the Pao De Mel, and she was absolutely right! These gingerbread tea cakes were so tasty. And as she suggested, I enjoyed them with some morning coffee and felt I was being entrusted with a delicious secret. Lastly, but definitely not least, the lemon mousse. Cris has multiple flavors, but I am a lemon fanatic and I just had to try it! The tart lemon is married so sweetly with the smooth, lush mousse. You won't be disappointed!! Mama Brazil serves take out, dine-in, and they cater as well! Don't miss out on this amazing treat!
Ordered dinner to-go last night, it was our first time trying Mama Brazil. The food was delicious and there was so much of it! Hands down we will go back. I would especially recommend the Crab & Cheese Empanada, Beef Empanada, and the Chicken Croquettes.
Vegetarian beans had bacon in them. They were also just canned black beans. No spices of any kind. We've had them before and we're delicious but the last two orders were this way. Totally unacceptable. No more. I love gnocchi. Not this gnocchi. The gnocchi was breaded and fried. Why? Stroganoff was too much cream without enough flavor. Needs more breadth/balance. Collared greens pretty good. Chicken empanadas decent but breading a bit uninspired. I miss Yellow Llama in Forest Grove.
Great Brazilian food, very nice and polite staff! Make sure to try the guaraná (typical Brazilian soda) and any of the Pastel, they all taste amazing!
I love this place and come here at least twice a week for lunch. They have so many great Brazilian food that I never experienced before and every time I come in I always feel satisfied with whatever I order. Cris the owner is super nice along with everyone else. I’m always greeted and made feel very welcomed. I love the upbeat energy in this great little restaurant. This place also has some fantastic desserts.
