Very popular rest area. Many stopping to allow engine to cool after long climb uphill. Couldn't get our RV above 45 MPH climbing the slope.

Excellent rest stop for 18 wheelers, RVs and passenger vehicles. Multiple clean restrooms and shaded sitting areas with tables. Pathways to walk along and view the scenery. Lots of drink and snack vending machines.
I've been up here 3 times today. I drove a tow truck. Come up from Phoenix to rescue stranded drivers. Everytime I'm up here, I have to stop and took a look. During the day there is a food truck with Indian fry bread, hot dogs, hand crafted sodas. It's peaceful even with I-17's traffic just over your shoulder. The view is spectacular. And everytime you see it, it's something different. Never the same.
It was awesome. Good vintage points to observe high up in the mountains and deep down in the valley. Wish I had more time to spend there. A must stop by and see spot. Also a small hotdog vendor was a blessing and added fun to it.
