This is the deepest lake in Georgia and clearest/cleanest lake I've ever swam in There is no fee to launch your boat due to Covid-19 The dam is absolutely breathtaking

Carter's Lake is a great place to enjoy boating and fishing. I usually go to the lake for kayaking. There are plenty of places to explore along the shoreline. Every now and then I need to dodge a motor boat or jet ski but people are usually very careful.
Memorial day weekend: we came in just after 2pm, gate down, they turned us around ,saying there's no parking space .
Such a beautiful place to visit and hang out
