This review is more a reflection of the service than the food. I wanted to try some different Ethnic food and the burbs are very vanilla and bland. Googled Filipino food near me and this place came up. I have almost no experience with Filipino food. Couldn't find the menu online so I called them for it. Spoke to a very nice older man who offered to text it. I received the text and went to the restaurant. There were no pics on the menu so I could not identify the dishes based on the menu. I explained that I am pescatarian and looking for veggie based or seafood based dishes. The girl at the counter was annoyed. She was uninterested in explaining the dishes. Gave one word answers to what items were. A nice gentleman customer who'd already ordered before me stepped in and went through and showed me what I could eat and what was not safe. Like why didn't the worker do that? It was not crowded. I was not holding up the line. Example: there was a section of dumpling or bead looking items. I asked the girl what they were she gave the answer \Desserts\. Nothing more, nothing less. No names of the desserts or what was in them. I was disappointed at the treatment and lack of service. In any normal restaurant, if you have questions about the menu, the wait staff takes the time to inform you. It's just customary. Maybe it was an off day for her, but I suspect not. Might just be her personality, IDK. I will make a point to say that she made a point to tell the man that helped me his total in Tagalog when neither he nor she had a problem speaking English. Definitely gave off the you aren't welcome here vibe. I brought a few items and they were good, but if I try Filipino food again, it won't be from here.
