Great guitar teacher and great person! Robb has help me over the last of 6 months to be able to solo in any key and develop a great sense of rhythm as well as a good understanding of the fretboard. Before my taking lesson i was self taught and with the lessons i feel i accelerated my learning at least 3 fold.

Before working with Robb I was primarily the front man/singer of the bands I was in. This felt limiting for me and with plans to travel and perform solo it was important for me to get solid with my guitar skills. After a short time working with Robb I was able to achieve this goal and more. Over the past few months, I started working with Robb again, preparing to go back into the recording studio and finish my album. Having his support, reflection and guidance really helped tighten up my songs and get them ready for recording. He also helped during the recording process giving very helpful feedback and insight on the rough mixes I was working on. This insight help me move forward with more confidence and clarity and saved me a lot of money. I am deeply grateful to have such a teacher and guide for my creative journey.

I was a beginner guitarist who struggled self-teaching and with disorganized teachers. Speaking with Robb in my free consultation, it was apparent that his style and structure was exactly what I needed to break from my beginner habits and skills. A few months later and after working through the first of Robb's books, I feel confident in my ability to learn and play songs at a level I'm satisfied with. Thank you Robb!

I've been taking weekly lessons from Robb for the past five months-- first in person, then over Zoom as we shelter in place. I'm a beginner, and I really wanted to progress quickly, lay a solid foundation, and most importantly really enjoy the process. Robb is really systematic and detail-oriented in his teaching, with clear guidance on how and what to practice. He is also clearly very seasoned as a teacher because he knows what mistakes will go away on their own and what mistakes require focused attention. I have progressed faster than I thought I could and really enjoyed it along the way. I'm confident that I am learning the basics well. I also really enjoy that Robb incorporates songs that I like and brought to him as we learn; it's been so fun to learn to play some of my favorite songs! To top it off, Robb is a great human, so encouraging, and always enjoyable to spend time with.

I originally contacted Robb because I was looking for someone to help me take my songs from their seed form to fruition. It was evident from our first lesson that Robb was the right person to help me map out how to work with a song from start to finish. Each song I bring in, he carefully listens to it and helps me figure out the musical landscape for the lyrics to reside in. As a mother of four, my time to work on music is precious and my weekly lessons with Robb have been a wise investment. He is organized, dependable, knows a lot about the art of songwriting and is an amazing guitarist. These lessons have made it possible for me to share my songs with family and now I am working towards recording them.
