11/20/19- around 1830. I-10 weigh San Simon Weigh station. Truck #193617 pulled into weigh station as a professional driver (trucker). And Cochise county officer told me (yelled) to disobey the law. My job tells me I have to stop at a stop sign for 3-5 second of course depending on weather conditions. AZ Stop Sign law ARS 28-855: Stop signs; yield signs states that failure to stop is 250 fine and 2 points on your license. So I tried to be nice because I was stuck between getting written up at work or not stopping at a sign. I tried to explain to officer but instead of understanding to follow the law and say ok he yelled and said I’m telling you to go so go. He influenced a woman next to him to do the same. Next I had to pull over on the interstate with hazards (unsafe) to explain to my job for 10 mins (food from my daughters mouth) because I’m paid per mile to keep my job and not get written up. So my question to Cochise County is you penalize people for not stopping at a stop sign and make us go to court, pay fees ect. But when convenient to you, You discipline law abiding citizens for doing there job? How is that fair? Idk might talk to a lawyer bout this....I mean arnt you supposed to serve and protect I FELT more LIKE Do what I’m telling you or go to jail. Intimidation not cool idk maybe cover the stop sign next time. Just unfair we have to follow the law when u want.

The tiny \Cochise County Justice Court\ in this bedraggled redneck outpost is beneficiary of a vast, determined, years-long campaign executed by AZDPS to fine speeding traffic on nearby I-10 as a source of income. By the looks of the joint, the entire town of Bowie subsists parasitically on court costs and fines assessed to interstate motorists. Court fees here are the HIGHEST in the state of Arizona, despite the fact--readily apparent to any visitor--that Bowie is the uncultured, crusted shitheel of a regressive, knuckledragging state. I pass Bowie on I-10 about twice a year to visit family, typically at holiday times. And every single time I have transited Bowie, the AZDPS is pulling over holiday traffic rolling at the customary \speed limit plus five\, thus making a mockery of its commitment to \public safety\ and sending about 300 a pop of unearned income to the sorry oaves transiently occupying this adobe outhouse in the middle of nowhere. To the black-robed highway robbers of Bowie: time to get off of welfare, and back to work. Take off those black robes, put on some denim, haul your lazy asses over the border to New Mexico, and start picking chile peppers (Lord knows we need more hands working the harvest).
