I first met April seven years ago when I was pregnant with my first born. I was immediately drawn to her great big heart and the knowledge that she held sacred - women know how to birth babies. April was born to help mamas birth babies. Her care throughout my pregnancy was tender and well informed. My daughter was born at home in a beautiful, peaceful space that April helped me create. The experience changed me in ways I am still just discovering. I cannot recommend April as a midwife enough - she is caring, compassionate, strong and wise.

I had the pleasure of working alongside April (as a nurse) at the birth center, and was always blown away by her calming and nurturing presence. She is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and is just a lovely person all around. She was there for me as a friend and coworker early on in my first pregnancy when I had some concerns come up. The way she guided me through those stressful early days was something I’ll never forget. Also, she has a lighthearted and fun side to her- she knows how to lighten the mood and get you laughing just when you need it. She is truly a wonderful midwife, whom I highly recommend! Just set up an appointment to meet her, and you’ll see what I mean :)
April is an amazing midwife and I would recommend her 100%! I am a first time mother and I actually started my care with a different provider. I was having a hard time developing a connection with my prior provider and felt like I wasn’t always being heard(I had a ton of new mom questions). My appointments were short and I left feeling like just another number to them. I decide to meet with April when I was about 20 weeks pregnant and I feel that it was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. My significant other and I felt comfortable with her warm and welcoming disposition right away. Her knowledge and skill made it so easy to trust her and she is full of amazing advice! I believe I had the best possible pregnancy and birth I could have because of her guidance and personal care. She is amazing in the postpartum period as well which was invaluable for us. She goes above and beyond the standard level of care to help her clients and their babies. If I ever decided to have another child there is no question that I would ask April to be my midwife again!
Super caring and experienced. As a first time mom I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, I relied on April‘s wisdom and expertise. April was someone I could trust and be vulnerable with. She was a friend by the time I had my baby and I hope to have her help with any future babies! :D
April has been near and dear to my family for over a decade. After telling my husband that I was pregnant it only seemed natural to tell April next. As a first time mom with no history of home births in my family that I have knowledge of, it didn’t occur to me to try that as an option right away. I felt safe and taken care of by the loving care that April provides. With each appointment being an hour long, we were able to talk about not only my baby coming into the world but me becoming a mother as well. Every single issue or fear that I faced was addressed quickly with great results. April recommended an incredible doula that we went with as well. April’s knowledge is vast. My husband and I are often times skeptical people and April was able to reassure us the whole way. Our birth story is magical, filled with the raw power that only bringing a life into the world can be surrounded by. I have only good memories of our journey together. I am proud of our story and I am overjoyed that I get to share that with my daughter someday. Five stars are not nearly enough to represent April as a confident, loving professional. This woman deserves the whole sky full of stars!
April was our midwife this last year for our first baby and we could not have asked for a better person to help us through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum! She knows what she is doing and truly cares about her patients. April’s care does not just end after your baby is born, in fact it was her thorough postpartum care that helped us identify something wrong with our two week old and helped to save his life! We are so thankful for April, and definitely want have her as our midwife in the future!
If you are looking for a home birth midwife, look no further. I am so grateful that we chose April to care for our family through our son's birth. April is professional, confident, warm and wonderful. She is everything you would hope for in a midwife and more. She handled the most challenging situation with calm and grace. We are forever her biggest fans.
I loved working with April. I appreciate her no-nonsense attitude and her in-depth knowledge and grasp of midwifery that made both my husband and I feel very supported from the beginning of working together. What sets April apart is her sharp intuition and emotional and spiritual support. I felt that April was able to attune to my needs and make specific recommendations regarding my nutrition, the use of a specific doula, and holding space for my own transformation as a mother. She went above and beyond to help me seek my own empowerment as a woman and mother, and has had lasting impact on me and my family.
