Update: Unfortunately they will be going out of business in Fall 2018. After many, many years of bringing fun and unity to generations of families young and old, they have shutdown the train rides and are in the process of liquidating the Hobby Store. Now it's time to put their family first after sacrificing their own time and privacy for so many years. A decision that causes sadness throughout the Great Lakes Region, but is highly respected considering their unselfish service to the community over the decades.
Great fun. Great value. Get there before they close for good. This place is an unknown gem. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the hidden valley. Plenty for kids to do. Shady trees. Nice clean picnic tables. I can not say more about how wonderful this place actually is.
Went on the spooky train road. Very family friendly. Even my two year old had a blast. Will have to start making this an every year thing until kids are brave enough to visit a haunted house. A
Junction Valley Railroad is a wonderful family outing. We have made the railroad a tradition for over 12 years. It is a great place to get away and like in a simpler time for a few hours. The family that runs the railroad has created a unique place where families can spend time together picnicing, riding bikes, scooters and old-fashioned pump cars in addition to riding the quarter scale railroad. Whether a one hour break during a long trip or family reunion, we highly recommend Junction Valley Railroad.
It's been a blast over the years. My dad took me when I was young, and I got to take my oldest a few times, and my youngest on their final run. The halloween spook train was definitely a family tradition that we're going to miss.
Incredible train ride. Was delighted to not only get a 20 minute ride on the train but they stopped at an amazing play yard for my son (we were the only ones on the train) and let him play for as long as he wanted (generally you're allowed 10mins of play time). Wonderful staff, impeccably kept grounds, and amazingly reasonable price for all the fun that's offered. Will go back many times!!
