32 solar panels installed in October 2020. This system uses microinverters, which a competitor advised against, telling us “50% will need to be replaced in the first year”. It is now approaching mid-February and we have had no problems of any sort thus far. The panels we installed are solid black, and few people note that we have panels installed on our black shingle roof. The company was good with which to work, but the timing for installation was longer than expected because of threatening weather, no fault of theirs. When finished, there were a few places I needed to repair on the wall near the installed box inside the garage, and paint touch up where finger prints were also on the wall, but generally the job was nicely completed. Also, the final price was exactly as quoted initially. The savings produced depends on the amount of electricity produced which is dependent on the sun shining, and I am amazed at how much I am aware of the weather since we installed the panels! I suspect we will produce more electricity as the days lengthen this Spring and Summer. Our maximum production on a couple of days was in the mid 60 kWh. The savings and thus paying off the system also depends on electricity cost rising each year (my unofficial observation is that the cost of electricity is not rising as fast as projected by companies selling solar panels.). I do feel very good that we are helping to reduce fossil fuels to generate energy, thus helping in a small way to mitigate climate change. We are pleased with Bright Eye Solar and what they have built for us, and recommend them without reservation.

When I decided to go solar I was comparing many quotes from different companies and Bright Eye Solar was one of them. Josh Sheppard (Solar Consultant) from Bright Eye was very easy to talk to and courteous. As solar is a very expensive investment, I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck and Josh delivered. As for the installation of the system, it took a bit longer than I expected (understandable as we're in a pandemic and due to weather complications). There was some issues with getting my system up and running smoothly (it was a learning experience for the installation team as they had just started working with the new Generac inverters), but Ben Lessig (project manager) was able to decipher the issue after communicating with Generac (kudos to you Ben) and got the system up and running. Although I was a bit frustrated at times due to the long installation period and the system not functioning properly at first (again not an issue that was caused by Bright Eye, the Generac Inverters were the issue) the company went above to optimize my system free of charge by providing five PV links. Now that my system has been operating successfully I couldn't be happier and I will be returning to the company for the installation of future Generac PWRcell batteries. Glad I was able to work with a local company as I believe in providing local business.

The worst contractor I have worked with. I wanted an off grid hybrid system and was accepting of a very high price to get it. From the start the work was a s— show. Poor workmanship and many people but little communication. Finally, I asked questions of the interaction between my generator and the solar and they had no answer, as if they had not thought thru the product. Their answer was “we will do it as a grid tie”, and gave a meaningless small refund. The system is not at all what I had contracted, and the refund was so small it made a rediculously high grid tie cost, with a 40 year payback on the system. Stay away from bad contractors.
Bright Eye, from beginning to end, was the company to choose when deciding to go solar! After lots of research, we decided a local company was what we believed in, and of all the local company choices, Bright Eye delivered in every way... They were quick to respond, fair, kind, and speedy. Our installation days were insanely hot, and they worked hard, left our lawn clean, and moved in a quick timely fashion. We are so happy we chose to go solar and so thankful we chose Bright Eye after lots of research!!! THANK YOU BRIGHT EYE!
