Avoid if possible! This clinic is extremely dishonest. You will be submitting insurance claims and making calls for over a year. The clinic requests a 40 copay per visit even though my insurance does not have copays and they only accept cash and does not give you a receipt. I paid the amount, had an endoscopy done over a year ago, and I am still receiving bills. I paid all my bills from Brooklyn Gastroenterology and Hepatology PLLC. The clinic is in network for my insurance but they used an out of network lab service without notifying me. The lab service is requesting over 5,000 in payment. This is considered a surprise bill and I shouldn’t be liable for the full amount as my insurance company discussed with them. I can’t believe that over a year later, I received a bill and I am still fighting this dispute. This is extremely unprofessional for the clinic to use an out of network service without consulting with me prior. I suspect this clinic is affiliated with the lab serivce and purposely does this to scam patients. The whole process is mentally draining and I would avoid this clinic at all cost!!
I had my endoscopy done at this location not too long ago and the staffs were very professional. Waiting time was not long at all so I'm not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. During the procedure, they would let me know exactly what's going to happen so that you feel safe and secure. They even answer all your questions to help you feel reassured. I remembered that I slept a little longer than expected during my procedure but the staffs didn't force you to wake up. They allow you to sleep till you wake up naturally and I think that's one of the best procedure I've gotten.
I visited this place last week and was given great service during the procedure. Though others have talked about the wait times being unbearable and the front desk being very unprofessional, that is very untrue. While I was waiting for my turn for the procedure, the front desk was able to help translate for people that didn’t speak fluent English. They gave them rules on what to do and what not to do, which made the environment a very peaceful place for these patients. Furthermore, “the waiting times being unbearable,” is also false. The doctors takes his time to make sure that the patients get the best procedures they can. I personally would not want a doctor that takes 5 minutes for a procedure like an endoscopy.
Great doctor and very kind. Endoscopy went smoothly. Will for sure recommend.
