It's rare to find artistry and mastery as a musician and a technician! Michael's work is exactly that. From the care he took in evaluating all aspects of my instruments to the finishing touches of calibration and homogenization both within each instrument and between the two - I can describe Michael's work as nothing by artistic. While our current times of COVID make working hand-in-hand with a technician impossible, Michael was in continuous contact with me through multiple video conferences to ensure that my instruments were set up to my exact expectations. As an artist himself, he was able to intuit and translate what I could not find words to describe. He is able to understand your way of playing, and set the instruments up accordingly. He treated my instruments as if they were his own, returning them to me playing better than the day that I picked them out. Additionally, I asked him to craft tenon caps for both of my upper joints. They are simply beautiful! I couldn't be happier with his work. I'm looking forward to our continued collaboration!

Reedworthy Woodwind Services has done work on four of my instruments, and the quality has been superb. They seem to pride themselves on using the highest quality products to do their work (low quality pads more trips to the repair person, more often). Michael, the owner, is good at setting expectations, and kept me informed as he ran into issues with the overhaul he did on my bass clarinet. When he was done, everything played better-than-new. Seriously. I'm a big fan.

Reedworthy Woodwind Services has been AMAZING to work with. I just moved here from out of state, and my Bb and A clarinets immediately needed adjusting. Michael Norsworthy gave VIP treatment, making sure my horns were in tip top shape. Additionally, I was in the market for a bass clarinet, and he worked with me to find just the right one. A Royal Global Low C Polaris. I look forward to continuing to work with Reedworthy Woodwind Services, and highly recommend them to anyone with clarinet needs.

Michael does excellent work on woodwind instruments. I've had my clarinets worked on several times by him, and also had a new bass clarinet set up by him. Works quickly and professionally to get your horns in great shape in a timely manner.

Michael at Reedworthy recently overhauled my Selmer Privilege Bb clarinet, my vintage Buffet R13 E flat clarinet, and my vintage Buffet R13 A clarinet, which I am hoping to sell. All work was exactly as I liked it, and he kept in touch throughout the process to make sure of what I wanted with regard to setup and tension. I like a light setup and my instruments came back perfectly. I appreciated helpful hints about storage and care, as well as a tarnish preventative strip included with the return of the silver keyed instruments. Great work, trustworthy shop. I send my students here for work as well, and Michael is not too precious to work on lower level intermediate or student instruments. He helped with new or re-homed clarinets for my students at all levels. Every instrument has been a great match for the student concerned, and there is a warranty period on the instrument and/or work. Highly recommend.

I stopped playing clarinet long time ago - so long that I almost forgot all the basics. Some of the basics I never learned. After only two lessons with Michael Norsworthy, I can definitely hear the difference in my sound quality/timbre, ability to control embouchure, and overall playing. In addition to being an excellent teacher, Michael is a very knowledgeable repair technician. He tweaked my R13 Prestige clarinet - fixed binding tenons, found a couple of small leaks that I could not find. I highly recommend this business.

Top notch repair work. We have had several instruments go through Michael for servicing and each have come back in excellent shape.

Very easy to schedule and receive good service, great work done and made note of any other issues on my instruments that needed addressing instead of just looking at the issue I brought up.
