Views from this overlook are especially spectacular in fall! Make sure to also visit the fire tower!

Wonderful place for a hike and be sure to bring your camera! One of the wonderful free experiences in Cook forest.

Gorgeous spot for serious or casual adventures. Great for families or anyone looking to take in some nature. Beautiful vistas at Seneca point and even better if you are brave enough to climb the fire tower. Best to go in the summer or nice weather. Dirt road drive to parking location. Camping style restrooms. Not the best for anyone with physical disabilities as the terrain is rough. Also strollers are difficult to manage. Lots of rocks, roots and ruts to overcome. But easy enough to walk up and down again in a short amount of time. Looking for a free activity in Cooks Forrest this is the place for you. There is also a trail that leads down to the river baton the fire tower but is not an easy climb up or down. Best to drive down to the Pale Whale for river access.

Beautiful area - though very high traffic area. You can drive all the way down Fire Tower Road and there is a parking lot and lavatories there before the short trial to both the Fire Tower and the Seneca Overlook. If you want more hiking several hiking trails converge there like the Mohawk Trail, or I recommend the River Trail - you can see it carries on down over the hill towards the river.
