We stayed at Sky Ridge Yurts for a week. Loved everything about it. Our Yurt was immaculate and so comfortable. Beautiful deck, propane grill and fire pit with wood. The local area is great for hiking, dining, and fishing. We will return to Sky Ridge Yurts again!

Absolutely loved staying here! My husband and I stayed in the Cherokee with our 2 dogs while my parents stayed in the Fontana. Everything was wonderful. There is plenty of hiking close by, some local restaurants, and local breweries. It even snowed during our stay. We will definitely be back and we can't wait!

I booked the Cherokee for my birthday weekend. It's not been a good year with several family and friends dying from covid including my dad last August and Sky Ridge seemed the perfect solo get away. My best friend decided to join me at the last minute and though we have, I think, the smallest of the yurts, there's plenty of room inside for both of us and we love the private fire pit. A massive storm blew through last night and the yurt was completely stable. Love all the refined details too. My friend did try to have a surprise birthday gift sent directly to the resort, confirming the address with management. The address turned out to be undeliverable this morning. That was a bummer to her....and to me when she told me. Highly recommend these yurts.

This place is great. I never would have imagined that a Yurt could be so nice. The views are some of the best you can have when camping and the amenities are nice. This place is well kept and looked after not to mention very clean.

I see why there is a 4.9 star rating! I had a one night stay and although there was some noise (it is glamping, so I knew this) when I mentioned it to the owner, she quickly helped me figure out the issue and come up with a resolution. I loved the experience and will be trying out another yurt our next stay. It was clean, easy to access and just a good stay. Fantastic job and you won't get that anywhere else. Forgive the messy pics, I didn't take them until we left so totally our fault! Thank you Sky Ridge!

Awesome accommodations. Loved my Yurt experience. 4 stars. It is a tent and you can hear everything going on around you. Some are very close together so you don't get the feeling of privacy. Not a deal breaker by any means and I would recommend that you study the lay out before making a reservation. Once again it was a great experience all in all.

Well appointed and comfortable does not begin to describe how lovely the Tuckasegee yurt was. My husband and I stayed in it this past weekend and it was wonderful. We planned on bringing our dogs, but at the last minute chose to hold off and try to hike in the national park, but were provided a dog bed and blanket for our pups just in case. The firepit, deck and stunning views were icing on the cake of staying in such a lovely place with nice linens, ample niceties (coffee, fridge and dishes). We plan on returning next year and staying closer and utilizing all of the amenities (drove a lot over the weekend to visit family). It was freezing and we stayed comfy the entire time, courtesy of the space heaters, split unit and fan (use it!). My only issue was the bed was softer than what we are used to and the first night I did not sleep as well as the peaceful and cozy surrounding should have warranted. The second night, I was exhausted from hiking so I passed out! Highly recommend this wonderful vacation offering. We will be back!

So we’ve know Melissa forever. We have visited her wonderful yurts/dream village twice now. I doubt you could ask for more. Her beds are more comfortable than ours at home. Killer fire pits on decks. Incredible views. Restaurants right down the road. Take advantage of later check in. We did and hiked Gorges State Park. Beautiful falls there. Many little towns close enough to visit. In warmer months raft down the Nantahala. You can have full kitchen model if you need it. Thanks Melissa
