I rented a black Yamaha upright with Bay Area Piano rental and loved it! My rental period was 1.5 year. I had no issue with the piano during the rental period. Receiving and returning the piano was easy. Donna was very friendly and helpful. If you are not sure if your child will commit to a piano, rental is definitely the way to go. I eventually did buy my own piano.
