Convenient viewing but if you're used to big cities don't expect the outlying areas to impress, Mostly high desert that foods seasonally, but there are some cool and interesting species of birds that migrate through our modest town and this is among the best places to be when they do.

It is a great place to find Snow Geese in the spring.

This is an amazing annual festival. If you want to see birds in the desert from Trumpet Swans to Pelicans to Eagles to Snow Owls to a zillion other birds all in one place this is the place.
