Cackle did a great job! We ordered 6 chicks for and early February hatch. They shipped out on Wednesday night close to 11 pm, and we received them on Friday morning about 10 AM. As we live in Georgia and they came from Missouri, I thought that was pretty good! When I opened the box all 7 (what we ordered with a bonus chick) were alive. The last few nights have been in the 20’s as the chicks were shipped. Cackle had an insulated box with a heating pad in the box as well. The chicks seemed very happy to get into the brooder. They seem very healthy as of now and Cackle had a live chick guarantee. Overall, I can tell they’ve done a great job!

I absolutely LOVE Cackle! I've ordered from them a couple of times now and I could not be more impressed! I received healthy, vibrant birds and had great customer service along the way. Our surprise box of birds came in the first of the year and we are just now figuring out the the for sure breeds 6 months later. I have counted 23 different breeds of chickens and a pair of ducks!! And most breeds that were included came with at least one rooster and one hen!!! It has been a lot of fun for our whole family. So much so that we have taken on our own hatching adventures. We can't wait to not only continue to grow our flock, but other flocks as well. God Bless you Cackle Hatchery and thank you for everything!!!
This is the 4th time I've ordered chicks by mail. The first 3 were with a competitor and the process went well enough that I continue to raise chickens. This time I ordered 3 hens and paid the extra money to get the small order special because we now live in the city. That was 51.91 for 3 hens. They delivered 1 hen and 3 roosters. I spent the money to grow the roosters out until they started crowing, then I had to find a home for them because my town doesn't allow roosters. Overall this was a mess. In total, I spent 75 for one hen who will have to live alone. When I contacted Cackle, they said literally \We don't guarantee the sex of the birds 100%.\ Um, I understand being wrong once in a while, but I would hope you would get more than 25% correct. I wish I had gone back to the competitor I used to buy from when we lived in the country.
I just picked up my chicks from our post office and i was very pleased . all the chicks were alive and look great. Ill for sure order again and recommend to others
totally failed at delivering birds that had been ordered 5 weeks in advance. and then offered to try and re ship my order 6 weeks later. weather and unfortunate circumstances are part of your business. someone failed at their job.. did not deliver as promised. do not recommend.
