We've had a great time in the nature station! Staff is very knowledgeable and polite and they're doing a great job! We enjoyed owl show, took lots of up close pictures and got tons of information about them! They also have plenty of hummingbirds which are fascinating to watch. The station isn't very big but we spent almost two hours in there.

We visited the Woodlands Nature Station over Labor Day weekend for my birthday, and I have to say, as an adult with no children, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed myself! This is about the cutest little place you could hope to spend an hour or two, and there is so much to see in such a small footprint! For me, what took the cake were the stories about the animals on the website. In person, some of them seem terribly bored (the ones with superior intelligence, like the coyotes and the bald eagle), but you can tell great care is taken in every aspect of their daily lives. Many of their situations tear at your heart strings - such as the ones who've lost a partner or the ones who started out life with less than ideal circumstances and have lived only in captivity - but once again, the organization is doing a great job improving their habitats and making sure they are comfortable. I learned a great deal about animals I thought I already knew a lot about. What was equally cool about this area were the trails; had we know they were dog-friendly, we would have brought our little guy from the resort. We learned a lot about furnaces and how the land was used by those who came before us. Lots of fascinating things. I strongly recommend a visit if you're near the LBL!

This place was cool. Little on the small size. But there were quite a bit of animals. The staff were friendly & very informative. I would highly suggest this place if you have kids or just love animals.

Absolutely gorgeous. The Nature Station is educational, affordable, and there is so much to see! The station is clean and sanitized. They do prefer being paid by card at this time. It's 7 for adults and 5 for children, I believe. The view is worth every penny. Walking around the garden and seeing the red wolf and bobcat was wonderful and I would love to come again. If you have the time I recommend you stop by.

It was great seeing all the animals. The staff were very informative. Noticed that the animals didn't have clean water or if much at all. The owls had a little cover for shelter but not really any enclosed area to get out of the weather, they also had chains on them about 4 feet in length. Maybe they were just doing that during the day so people can see them. I didn't see any enclosed area for any of the other animals, but maybe I just missed them. Still a good place to take the kids. This is just my opinion.
