I came here today because they offer a free Covid-19 antibody test if you donate whole blood. You can get your test results in 2-3 weeks. The staff was nice. There were two ladies working. Wait just inside the front door. They'll check your temp. I was 99.2; the cut off is 99.6 I believe. They offer a point system for donated plasma. You can exchange the points for gift cards. There is no reward for donated whole blood. There is a free pint of ice cream from culver's and they currently let you know if you test positive for Covid-19 antibodies. There are snacks in the lobby. I took a couple with me to go. Call before you come by. They'll let you know if they're busy. The whole process was about 30 minutes. If you engage the staff, it goes by smoothly. Smile. Smiles make people happy :)

I love this place the staff is always friendly. I donate religiously, and most of the time I come in with my (teen) kids and the staff is always great to them while I'm donating. I won't go anywhere else.

Having worked at Life Source in Rosemont for three years as a blood delivery driver, I would not recommend this company for blood donations. They used to be owned by a parent company called ITXM. I think now they were bought by Blood Systems out of Arizona. When I worked there back when ITXM owned the company, the management was very rude and mean. They often managed with fear. Having spent three years at Life Source, I did a near perfect job. Mistakes I saw while working there were drivers bringing wrong blood orders to the wrong hospitals, also forgetting about blood units in the company vehicles over night and the blood units would spoil. I also was witness to a three FDA mistakes by the staff on blood orders that I had delivered. I feel they keep blood donations going to keep their 403b non-for profit status. The blood donations only serve a a tax loophole. I left on good terms, but because of rampant rumors and mean spirited gossip by managers, supervisors etc. I decided to resign after three years of work there.
I always give blood here when I can. The staff is friendly and informative.
