They use the cheapest beef to produce the patties. I made the mistake of buying the bulk pack, to which I fully regret now. The flavor and spices are not bad, but the \meat\ filling is 90% chewy cartilage. The texture is disgusting. Unless you like chewing on rubbery cartilage all day I suggest you DO NOT purchase these.

I didn't see these in my area (Charleston,SC) until a few months ago and they are so good. I've had the Juici Patties in Jamaica and they are right up there. Let my Jamaican husband tell it they're not similar in taste. These are amazing even the individuals at the headquarters are pretty awesome, just wish they had the chicken in the 10 box at the store I go to.

I grew up in NYC and my husband's father is from Kingston, so you know I love patties. About 25 yrs ago we relocated to Austin, Texas and were sad to not find any patties. One day, I went to my local supermarket (HEB) and found some there in the freezer. I was ecstatic! Now we can also get them at Walmart, Sam's club and I hear Costco. Thank you for making an authentic tasting patty that we can eat all the way in Texas! I also love that you are giving out scholarships to deserving students!

I love Jamaican patties, but these... I get gristle in every other one in the box. Not cool..

Oh no, there is something in these pies that gives me tachycardia- fast heart rate and it's not good. I believe it's the monosodium glutamate! Besides, no meat in the pie, don't taste it at all, it's all soybeans or beans, last time me buying it.
