Okay so I gave this company I try and things went good was giving a price and also got an email. They dropped the pod off things were good and by the way when they say a size of 3 bedroom home that’s not the case way smaller we had to get rid of so much and pick and choose what we could pack and not pack cause the container is not as big as they make it seem. So they picked it up all good. Money is in the account awaiting for them to take it and move the pod. I noticed a day or two passed no money taken so I call and they said my card was declined and ask there’s no way the moneys in the account. Asked what they were trying to run and what do u know there’s hidden fees of extra 500 that was never told. So we get things paid and got the pod moving. Was told it would take 5-10 days to get to Texas from California. Nope took 23 days which is insane because we’re I moved is only 19 hours away. Didn’t try and work with me customer service was horrible will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

My daughter moved from Dallas to Portland and used Pack Rat to ship all her belongings including multiple pieces of furniture. My son and I flew up to Portland to help my daughter as the stated delivery date was Saturday 1/9. On the morning of 1/9 we called to get an ETA for the container only to find out the container was actually still in route and would be delivered Monday 1/11. During that phone call the online portal still stated 1/9 delivery. Not once did anyone from Pack Rat reach out saying the delivery date would be changed. My son and I flew to Portland for nothing and had to fly home on Sunday 1/10 as we had work on Monday 1/11. Pack Rat does not realize lots of things get scheduled around a given delivery date. In a way my son and I were non-refundable movers for my daughter, and we had to hire another set of movers to help on 1/11. I've used Pack Rat 5 times in the past without any issues and now won't be using them ever again. Pack Rat pledges total customer satisfaction, then doesn't do anything about it when things are not all right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT.

If I could give it ZERO stars I would. This is the WORST COMPANY I've EVER dealt with. We didn't realize that Zippy Shell had merged with Pack-Rat otherwise we wouldn't have used them because we had read bad reviews. Apparently both companies value poor customer service. The customer service we received was an absolute joke!!! We contracted with Zippy Shell for our move from New Orleans, LA to Dallas TX and the initial set up was great the containers were delivered on time and the Zippy-New Orleans franchise staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were told to expect an email from our moving coordinator (which we never got) and it took 25 hours on the phone over the course of a week and a half to even get a human on the phone. I made several requests to have management return my call but gor nothing. Once they take your money they have ZERO INTEREST in helping you. Once we talked to a customer service and requested our primary and secondary moving date, we got an email later stating that the dates we requested could no longer be honored and they could only deliver 1 of 3 and the other 2 containers would be delivered a week later!! They didn't even give us the option to go to the facility and choose which container to be delivered so we could at least have our beds to sleep in!! They offered no solution or even money back to compensate for the inconvenience. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EITHER COMPANY! PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND US A MORE PROFESSIONAL COMPANY!

The container itself is great. But when I had questions today about my billing the lady that was on the phone with me could not state where in my contact they said I would be billed additional for fuel and they will only prorate the billing month up to 7 days. So when I scheduled my container to be picked up on the 15th I was not aware I would be charged the full month and not the 15 days I would have the container. Then when I asked to speak to someone about my contract and concerns I was transferred to a voicemail and they will not pick up the line again. Customer service is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
