This place is extremely special to me; while the catholic church and its teachings have been challenged by many, based on several horrible acts by some, NOT ALL priests and various clergy, it's that inner voice, the one that speaks to you, that speaks to me that keeps me a believer. All this stated, to be physically present in this place creates a centered peaceful place to reflect, pray and be grateful to be surrounded by so much beautiful architecture, art and history!

Did you know there was a 19th century basilica in Philadelphia? Gorgeous pipe organ and stained glass. We heard the end of mass and it was beautiful. The upkeep inside and outside was pristine.

Attending Sunday Mass at the Cathedral is a breath-taking experience of the majesty of our transcendent God and the beauty of the Catholic religion. You really feel that you have entered sacred space. Everyone involved in the Mass - priest, cantor, lectors and altar servers - are extremely reverent. And the music is just gorgeous!

This is a very beautiful and historic Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia. I came here for mass when I was visiting Philadelphia, and I found the church to be absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit. The priest here if you have a great homily as well. Most importantly, the church feels like it is air-conditioned and cool even when it is very hot outside.
