Nice selection of cheese. Also have Straka sausage, limited ice cream, candy and touristy gifts. Guy at the counter pleasant, but could use a few more customer service skills.

Worth the 6 hour trip to get cheese for my Scout Troop

Low to no energy sales person.... Not helpful, I could tell she was shy, but, we wanted some help, but, it was obvious to me that we were not getting it here.... Cheese inventory limited and packaging looked questionable. No deals either on price, Carr's Cheese store would be a better choice. So we asked about the Cheese factory tour, and it was going to cost money.... Since I could see the Cheese factory from the window in the store we saved our money instead of taking the tour... Googled cheese making and got the free video at Carr's Cheese factory store in Sauk City. So, our visit to Cedar Grove was not productive for us or the Cedar Cheese store... We ended up walking out with no purchases and no further education about Cheese making..... Our 1 star rating is accurate, suggest there would be limited reason to visit this store....! Have a \grate\ day!

It's a small cheese shop, but it showcases the many varieties of cheese made here, rather than being an all encompassing reseller of everyone else's cheese and knickknacks. As alluded to by other reviewers, you can observe the various cheese making activities on the factory floor through large windows from the store area. As for the cheese, it's great stuff!

A small shop located a short drive from Plain. Pictures up on the wall showing the history of Cedar Grove. They were out of cheese curds when we went through but bought some havarti instead. Awesome!
