My first experience with McMurry Hand Forged was truly delightful. I purchased a Hex Shield maiden 11 inch pan. I was instantly impressed by how quickly I received my order and then when it arrived my jaw dropped at the quality that emerged from the well packed box. It was more than a pan. So much more!! It was a work of functional art. It gave the impression of Americana folk art, functional beauty. As I loved this pans so much, I realized that in order to deepen my joy I needed another! So I purchased a wok. I learned that the craftsman had developed a new texture that allows the season to hold on the the pan more securely. After my first stir-fry I knew, this new texture was a GAME CHANGER!! My first pan, with its impeccable seasoning, is still my pride and joy but this new finish is so awesome! It retains it's season performs beautifully! I really appreciate all the resources that are provided on the beautiful website. Each tip was so helpful to me in navigating carbon steel care and maintenance. The care and maintenance cheat sheet included with my order was well written and easy to follow. I keep them in a special place in my kitchen and reference often. The personal touch offered by this family owned business is so touching. I loved the hand written thank you note that was included with my receipt. I am proud to be a continued customer and I have been pretty bold about sharing McMurry Hand Forged with my followers and friends. What a great product! I own 6 original pieces made by Justin at Mcmurry Hand Forged. After my first week of use I decided to throw away my "non stick" coated pans. This cookware will last lifetimes. Thank you Justin and Becki!
